yeh i have i need an idea of what kind of bmx i need i have no idea
What do yu want to use it for..... write down the kind of riding you will be doing on it then it will be alot easier to make you an offer or whatever, i dont have a clue about BMXs personally but im sure it will help someone who does, you need to give a lot more information in wanted/forsale posts as a brief post doesnt help no one ;)

for £500 quid you should beable to get a good BMX. What about building your own custom bmx because you can get realy cool stuff for bmx's like different colourd spokes and just generaly make them look awsome. and it would be exctly what you want/need for the kind of riding you do.
It would probably work out cheeper for what you want if you were to build it up yourslef, for example you'd probably only want the back brake im guessin? All bikes must come with 2 brakes i think, so you will be saving there, you will be able to get the frame and forks you have always wanted and not have to compromise the forks because they dont come on the bike which has your dream frame or vice versor..... you get my point ;)

Actually, its far cheaper to buy a pre-build.
A decent frame will cost you £200 - £300 usually, whereas you can pick up a 27/28lbs build for around £350. Perhaps look at going second hand? the classified section on www.southerndownhill.com - theres usually a good build going for very reasonable prices on there.
How tall are you? Im around 5"10 / 5"11 and found a 21" Toptube pretty good.
for park you'll probabaly want wide bars, look at macneil silencer XLT bars, very light, very nice feel.
In a bmx you want to look at 3 peice cro-mo cranks, sealed bearings, U-brakes, cassette hubs etc. If it has these things, itt'l likely last you very well as a first BMX (if it is your first bm)
I entirely agree with Mikey. you can get a good pre build for the price of frame and forks. Just look at the options on winstanleys in the 500 pound bracket and see which one you like best.
rasen bikes all the way dude
I forgot to mention when you've found what you want get into Rasen Bikes!
if its a park bmx i guess its front and rear brake, gryo jobby with pegs? 10/14mm axles or 14/14mm axles? top tube length? 36/48 spoked wheels?
the thing is, with a budget like that, theres a big market for high end bikes, you could build one up, but for a complete you get a hell of a lot for your money, have a look at the new hoffman range, also the new subrosa range is really nice. as too is the we the peoples, lots of choice out there, you can pick up a sub 25lb complete with ease
aye either go for the new subrosa range or the new wethepeople range you can get a super top spec bmx for £499 its dialled
try a wethepeople, the four seasons is a beast of a bike!!!

yeah the law is that a new bike has to leave the shop with 2 brakes front and rear reflecors and a bell but if its a custom build u dont have to woory bout all the nonsence
