There isn't so much a pump track in planning at the minute, a Bowl is the next thing in line as far as i know and that will be on its way once the trails are nicely tweeked and in good running condition.

Haha, thats my dream place to ride, i have a massive poster of that pic next too my comp.

c'mon, two, transfers would be sick! If anyones every ridden a bowl at a park, they can tell you that their hardly the most fun things to ride...

i rekon a bowl and a quater pipe would be the best

c2crider
04-03-08, 22:21
Transfers would be pretty good, when they were dry you could use bmxs in them which would be pretty sweet:p

Fwogddy

The only thing with them will be drainage, i think i read somewhere that the radstock rec's have a proper drainage system running underneath them...

Baker
04-03-08, 22:41
Haha its all planned out etc. Dont worry bout it!! There will be 1 bowl and thats it as far as i know but it will possibly have jumps/transfers into it etc.

All in the planning stages at the min though and negotiation with the Forestry!

How about building one with a jump clear over it also... a bit like the old iron justice pool jump.

Bowl sounds good though, especially if you pop a few wallrides around the edge of it in suitable spots.

bowl sounds good! but i wont know what bike to go up to the woods on!! is there goin to be any Dirt Jumps up at the woods?

swifty15uk

theres jumps on the tracks that arn't too bad for messing about on

Fwogddy
07-03-08, 12:36
I'm pretty sure matt knows that ash ah

Ooooooh matt you still up for NASS?

a decent set of doubles would be wicked up the woods IMO.

Baker
07-03-08, 20:47
Not allowed doubles by forestry commission rules im afraid!

carrerabiker
07-03-08, 20:53
well whats the biggest thing were alowed

Baker
07-03-08, 21:34
Dont have a clue, usually it is a matter of building it/drawing it up with propper measurements etc and showing it to the FC, it's very hard for us to know

jack
09-03-08, 17:40
if i remember correctly, i think the rule from the outset wasn't no doubles but no "manditory air" thats to say that everything must be rollable or have a ride around option.

correct me if im wrong, cos its been a while :p

Baker
09-03-08, 17:45
Aye thats the rule pretty much. The way the forestry man has said to fish is that ''Your every day family rider can come up to it and roll over it without complication'' or of course have a chicken route.

I guess the rules are pretty complicated then? I suppose they are there for a reason though, because all it takes is for one toddler who's eaten too many Mars bars to absolutely hammer it over a set of doubles and get impaled on a tree.

Bit extreme i know, but i saw it on Scarred. MTV has warped my brain!

Now THAT would be my idea of a fun pump track, so much flow, wide and looks like a hell of a lot of fun!
