Well now everything is drying out, steetleys should be rideable.
I can feel a trip up there comming on real soon, so suggest some dates and we will go.

For those that dont know steetley, its a pretty big quarry full of various sized drops etc.
I am sure you will have seen it in the mags, place looks like another planet...
mbuk organised an unofficial freeride jam there and caused evryone major headaches as the landowners and police started to clamp down. Well things seem to have settled down now.. so lets go.

is it trainable? as that would probably be the best option for us rasen folks, there is one in barnetby aswell which is supposed to be really good and its only a 20min train journey

i think conisborough or rotherham would be the nearest trainstations..

closer maybe... but cmon, grasby? that place died about 15 years ago when the bmx track closed, and barnetby wasnt so good last time i went.
The voice of experience says steetley is the nearest decent riding spot we have.... other than hamilton of course.

what like?
when they stopped blasting?
when they started?

steetley is no different to any quarry i have been to with regards to motor bikes... just its a huge place so there may seem more.
they mostly stay on the big hills though, so theres plenty of room for us all...
