For those who dont know Shane and Jamie are doing the coast to coast this weekend up Newcastle somewhere:hu: the event is 150 miles over 2 days,I spoke to Jamie last night after the 1st day of what should of been 82 miles, and at some point they went of route and ended up doing 96 miles on the 1st day, they managed it in just less than 9 hours which is pretty good going I think ;).
Today they have got a mere 68 mile to complete before they finish the event which is for charity not sure which one but a big well dont is in order.:rez:
Maybe such things involving club members should have some kind of media coverage and maybe race days as well, it could produce more sponcers (just a thought

WELL DONE GUYS:D

as i said the other day Rick, its a fine line between having just enough folk turning up and too many, and we saw what carnage was caused at the layby on race day with only 20 entries, imagine what it would have been like if we had our max at 50 or even more, also (and i must give you a copy) it states in the terms and conditions of our contract that we seek approval(W.Grice) for any media exposure and i know that local FC want it just for locals at the moment because of the lack of infrastructure(parking, toilets etc)
