A few months ago, i dug out my old scalextric stuff from the attic, set it up and now imma slot addict again.
Anyway, i did a little research on my nearest racing club (thought i would give it a go).
Gainsborough Slot Car Club was the nearest so the other month i ventured over there and although not quite what i expected, had a great night and was pleasantly suprised.
So if you dont have anything better to do on these dark Thursday nights, take a trip over, they cater for all ages and you will be made to feel welcome.
They dont have a website as such (that i can find anyhow) but you can see a members blog <HERE> (http://www.slotforum.com/forums/blog/bleep/index.php?showentry=1270)

Ha, some people are easy pleased eh Rick
PS. Baker, all those tag lines are rather annoying ;)
PPS Baker, what cars have you?
Im not sure of one of them, but i have a mercedes something or other. Theyre both for the faster main track.
I also have a Cadillac for the smaller slower track.
I will see if i can hunt the cars out and take some pics if you want?

I could be wrong but i think the bigger track is for 1:24 scale and the smaller one for 1:32 (scalextric size). Ive only been the once so far.
My interest is in Group B rally Cars mainly or other rally cars from the same era ie the midish 80s. All with the magnets removed of course.
I know the bigger track they use to race the Nass Car replicas on too, but i have some smaller cars - high power ones. Theyre raced on tuesdays, well used to be. Mine have no magnets. I will get pics see whether you can help me in knowing what they are etc :p
