Well as the topic states 'the best day yet' but i think today came close, if not the best yet! real good days riding, and i think everyone rode until they couldnt stand up properly!
Building done
Rode a santacruz vp free!
rode a brooklyn!
came into contact with the ground
learnt table top kinda things
had a tree fall on top of me!
disfunction dirt came

i think thats it!

as i said a top day
had by all!

mr fish
25-09-05, 19:29
i reckon it doesn't get much better than that 9 riders all rippin it up........that brooklyn!!! i must have one!! what a bike,it cornered the berms like nothing else i've ever ridden.
i managed to push my own riding by sorting the woops without casing any of it..........well cool :w00t: and the landing to the new jump "stuka" is now finished :thumb: well done everyone what a great day :hombre:

mr fish
25-09-05, 19:37
and i bet all the sycamore saplings wish they could run out of the way when they see Charlie riding towards them :fu: i'm not sure santa cruz had tree felling in mind when they built the vp free! :w00t:

charlie
26-09-05, 00:43
Yea sorry about that Ben, But had a Hucking fantastic day inspite of the odd mad moment.
Good to see a great turn out and with such fine bikes!!!
But as for the tree felling, the vp is more than capable, wish i could say the same for my shifter.

this summer has had some great riding days and today was one of the best, dispite my riding being very sketchy, the welsh lads turned up with the helmet cam as promised,we got some really excellent footage including some great crash moments :D and did loads of work on the woops and the weather was perfect  it doesn't get much better than that :D

Ben
03-10-05, 09:15
yes a great day, again! helmet cam was great fun, and the crashes are well worth £250

Baker
05-10-05, 18:18

and also always nice when disfunktional dirt reprezent
what a brilliant day!!!!:afro:

dave_mawe
18-12-05, 21:17

Baker
18-12-05, 21:53
I agree. Today was awsome and i am well chuffed with my dad doing FT2!! Well done for doing KFC too(was it dave?) that is a real hard one i think>nice one:):thumb: . Sime did well on the patio too that is gonna be a well fun thing to finish triple t with when i can clear it!!

mr fish
18-12-05, 22:08

dave_mawe
18-12-05, 22:31
Cheers baker i found KFC easier than sister:? i don't know why that is but thats my opinion. Good soup aswell although there was not much chicken to be found in the soup

Ben
18-12-05, 23:40
superb day and, as mr fish says the best conditions for a while, like summer!, thanks to ken for the soup, couldnt be more ideal timing on what has to of been one of the coldest days yet? and thanks to the disfunktional dirt crew for the brooklyn, stinky finger (dont ask!) and the V10 oooh and of course Mr Fish :thumb: :D

Great afternoons riding once again.

Fun new jump at the bottom of the new line that keeps you wanting more....adapt to that run in damn you cried the dark voice in my mind on every attempt

Well done to the lads who acheived their own personal goals as well :thumb:

Unfortunately we won't meet up on the 28th at hammers due to logistical matters  but no doubt we will in the near future.

On that note, I wish you all a merry christmas, a happy new year and here's to a quality 2006 in terms of riding and building.

24-12-05, 15:56
Last Sunday was fantastic. I finally did Forktop - Thanks Fish for the excellent coaching and sympathetic encouragement. If Fragy thought my face was a picture after I'd done it, he should have seen it just before - pale I think!!! Flying off the side of the first up-ramp on splashdown, I was already laughing and couldn't get the grin off my face all night. Can't wait to do it again, the sooner the better. Aint bikes great.

for those people who thought they might come up today and then didn't for whatever reason, you missed a fantastic day on the hill it was sunny all day and with just four focused people the first turn is now more or less sorted and works oh so sweet :yeah: :yeah: :yeah: great vibe, great company and great progress :tune:

Ben
28-01-06, 19:10
seconded, awsome day even better berm and the Twisted tree trail is becoming a favourite is(n) my opinion, on the odd occasion when its dry enough to ride properly (like today) its a whole new ball game! and Sunadays is forc(e)ast the same, i think a priority is to get the hand rail extended on the roll down ;) aswell as other 'goodies' added to the twisted tree trail

Yeh it was a great days riding yesterday. So great infact i didn't realise that my back tyre got a weird puncture and it only let some air out and the tyre was still rideable but soft:confused: The culprit was a small metal splinter that i can only imagine i got from some chicken wire, still it was a great days riding with loads of people there

Baker
30-01-06, 18:03
Yeh i agree with everyone else. Sunday was awsome. The new burm is really smooth and the tracks are quite fast. I am finally getting back to the things i used to do on my saracen. STILL HAVEN'T DONE FORKTOP THOUGH >:-(
