My company Autotrail are holding a 24 hour sonsered endurance ride for charity, The chosen charity is cancer uk, The ride wil take place around willingham woods on the 27th June at 12pm and finish on 28th June at 12pm. It would be grate if we could get some of the lads from Trailblazerz to do this and try to raise as much as we can for the charity. The ride will be 2 in each team and done as a relay. For more details contact me.

True Saxon
14-05-09, 19:38
so.. a few ppl at work might be intrested also, i have been asked to ask
i) are solo entries permited? ie a 1 man team?
ii) how much of the sponsorhip money actually goes to charity?
iii) is there a camping/base camp area?

if you can let us know the full details as soon as you have them as time is running out. cheers.

lol.
the guy who asked about solo entry for him and possibly a mate or two is an IronMan athlete (hardcore triathlon) when i say ironman, i mean that literally... he is currently training for a triple iron man. im not sure on the swimming or cycling distance but the running equates to 3 full marathons

Couple more questions:
Is there an entry fee or anything or is that covered by the sponsorship stuff?
also, if a team want to take part but not seek sponsorship, whats the charge?

Cheers.

True Saxon
26-05-09, 18:17
Right Click <HERE> (http://www.trailblazerz.net/images/TS/Sponsor.pdf) to download a sponsor form in .pdf format.

burnsy
27-05-09, 11:48
there is no entry fee and we ask is for the rides that dont want to seek sponsorship to make a donation to the charity.

i may have a team together for this

True Saxon
04-06-09, 07:28
any more info on course etc?

burnsy
04-06-09, 21:35
fish has got the map with the route on. Ment to be taking it to wally when he gets 5 mins to see if there is any way he can make it a bit longer for us. think there is going to be a small fee per rider because each rider has to be insured. it will only b 2 to 3 pounds so im told.

mr fish
05-06-09, 07:18
i saw Wally yesterday, and there is some scope to expand the course, i will be seeing him next week to finalise the route ;)

burnsy
05-06-09, 13:50
thats spot on fish thanks alot for doing that for us.

insurance is being delt with, BC eventually got back to me  today
should be registered for it by early next week, i may point out that for insurance perposes #cough# that this is a "ride" ;) for charity and not a "race" ;) awarding kudos for the winners is ok tho :D

Hopefully, the club can get a little involved and we can turn this into a quality event, with plenty of entrants and raise a ton of money for Cancer Research.
Let me know if theres anything i can do.
