Hello everyone over the pond, for those of you who dont know i am on a holiday (if thats what you call it :p ) in Majorcca, i took my muddyfox but after cracking the frame on the first day (only minor but these things grow) i went on the hunt for bike rental shops. After a while (and severral ice creams later) i came across 2, both really good quality, so i didnt hesitate to book. the first i rented out a Bergomont (German) with manitou Axels hone groupset blaa blasa blaa, and went on a tour last friday.... woooow i forgot the joy of xc, i loved it! a 2 hour hike up a mountain to reach a castle at the top, and the longest dustiest, rockyiest downhilli have ever done!, so, ready for more i have booked an 8 hour tour on monday with tother one which takes us around all the moutains CANT WAIT!! this time a German Steven with manitou skarebs xt groupset throughout, ooooh what joy!!

the moral, dont knock it till you tried it, and dont put it off, keep you posted of my spanish uphill struggles! see you soon

well, what a ride i had on monday, in total it lasted 6hours! with two stops for food and two to repair punctures, in temps of 36+ i have never enjoyed an xc ride so much, and have booked it agian for friday. the guide was a guy called michiel who as it turns out is a freerider who has a kone roast with shermans! some of the downhill was super sketchey it had me almost sat on the back tyre though single tracks and fireroads, with rocks everywhere, which load to a blow out non the less

as for my frame, i could get it welded, but as i have discovered the seat stay has twisted slightly only about 2mm, and welding will also mean new powder coated rear triangle, and hassle, plus due to the twist poor frame alignment.... demo 8´s are looking rather atractive just lately.
