Back to the Olympics: They have all that rushing around in Lycra at the Olympics etc so why isn't there a DH? I can see it now: Gee Atherton takes Olympic Gold at the Aston Hill Olympic DH! Or maybe a Lisbon-like DH in Norf Landan.
Second thoughts it'd attract loads of w****rs into the sport
Third thoughts: said load of w****rs would demand an increase in the number of tracks to ride

i think for dh to be included BC/OC would have to drop another cycle event you know like that weird track thing where you pull ya team mate by the arm each lap to slingshot ya down the track,"whats that all about" :hmm: still i'm glad we got the games as it will pull just about every constuction worker in the north to build the venue,leaving no one to build stuff here...except me of course :devil: :devil: :devil:

i doubt that DH will ever become an olympic sport.. the brits dominate too much.. and the BC dont seem to care too much about the minority who ride DH...

But BMX is an olympic sport i believe...

The weird track thing is called Madison and its basically a marathon team race that includes a number of individual/team sprints. They used to have a little motrbike to follow around in some versions i recall.
They won't be building the olympic park with norvern construction workers when they can ship in some nice cheap eastern europeans to get the job done! Hopefully by then there'll be plenty of unemployed french farmers looking for work cos there'll be no more subsidies for them to sit on their arses all day smoking Gauloises.
