Hamhill, wednesday night, i hear its the place to be???? so who will be?:filthy:
If i get mi wheel sorted then i will be up ridin, if not i will be up on mi dads xc bike ripin up the single track (extreme? :/)

due to a very swolen elbow/forearm and the fact my bike is being a beee-ach i will be unable to make it, possibly tomorrow though and almost definately all day friday come rain or shine (the wonders of waterproofs....)

Persuading boss didnt work. Looks like im gonna have to miss out this week. Will see a few of you up there next weekend though!
was going to be there but i now have to work tomorrow night. when the evenings lighten up though i'll make wednesday my night off so i can ride all afternoon (free period after lunch on wednesday)
what time are people gettin up there? got uni till 1ish, hopefully bike will be ready by the time im done and can get up there for a couple of hours before dark. 2ish?

no worries mate ;) although its drying out fast,it was still pretty slick,the wood work was dry though :D lets hope the rain/snow holds off.:) and it should be good riding by the weekend

Just after Fish left on Wednesday night, we were walking up the shore towards the start tower when we heard motorbikes. They tore round the top berm and on to the top of Trespass but turned and scarpered as soon as they saw us. They obviously knew they weren't supposed to be there, but had a go any way and will probably be back again. Neither bike had number plates, and they looked like scrap bikes, and the riders had no helmets so are probably local. One was a dirt bike one was a road bike with loads of bits missing and a red tank. keep your eyes open around Rasen & Tealby.

hmmm, good ride scoped a few new lines etc (pen -y- bont- fawr style gully) but too dehydrated to stick around for long
Will you ever bring enough water haha! I went up my woods and it was really hot there too!
I'm finding 3 bottles and a 2 cartons does me 4 hours ish. But if you can carry it take it!!
You could just get a camelbak, something a bit bigger though that can carry hydration tools phone etc.

sticking with the topic of wednesday evening riding, it was one of those afternoons too hot to be waiting around, a pint glass of water and out of the door, helmet in one hand bike in the other, i usually take suficeint water but days like this... :tune:
i hadn't realised how you need a lot more water now its getting warmer,i drank all mine by 5 by 6 i had to go home :( with a least another hours worth of riding to do :mad: so don't forget to bring more liquids next time your up the woods ;)

nopes, as predicted 30 mins before i finish it started spitting.. by the time i got to caistor it was pretty heavy.... got to the woods, say in my car 15mins then drove home.
I still went up and spent the afternoon riding goose neck, managing to get controlled two wheeled drifts brakeless through the right hander, although had to go home soaked to the bone! good times :D

Glad to see you are having time to ride with all the work at the new house. I will hope to be back up the hill after I get back from the States but i dont know when that will be.
There's something about riding after work, I just love it. It's a bit like how a lunch time beer tastes better than a normal night-time pint.
Arghh!! that's my 3rd posting today and they've all invoved beer........Count down 44 minute to beer.
beer makes you slower :rolleyes: apparently.
That's not a problem, I've reached my limit of slowness.
my shock still hasnt came back :rolleyes: hopefully it'll be here tomoro, depends on whos sending it i guess, i'll give you a ringif i can make it up ;)

Wednesday 7th March.
It rained again, but not before 2 or 3 good hours of trail tweaking and riding. The new track's gonna be great once its dry, it's already fun - particularly the fast turns. Drifting in mud at the moment but should be nice fine dust by May. Great for you posers who like to look good for the camera!!! The flinty bits dry out literally overnight. and we haven't really got any deep holes like on TTT to create puddles.
Could still do with some extra rake handlers over the next couple of weeks.

The Hill was near perfect tonight had a good 2 hours riding. Patio was flowing sweet and the new trail was also sweet new table top is still very wet though, It would of been nice to see a few more faces up there if the weather stays fine it will be good for Saturday who's up for it(bring a rake day]

Can i add to this post, me and fish have been discussing the new line onto the new trail and that it has pretty much diverted everyone from using the intended route, could you please try vary which line you choose into the new trail so we can still use all the cleared routes.

today was awesome!!! Loads of dust, loads of speed, goos few riders and all round great fun!!
It really was great fun.
The new table is sweet. Still needs to dry out nd mellowing out but shud shape up well ;)
And i cant believe how fun the wallride is!!!

i think all the new table needs is a bit more dirt on the take off so that it isnt like your are hitting a brick wall if you get me? The size and lift etc is fine!!!!

Hardtail's Rock! t'was well worth the effort to get up for the last hour and half of daylight :devil: we were riding till nearly five :D springs on its way :cool:
I was going to try to get up today, wish i had!

Been up for one my first wednesday evening ride for ages!!! And it was well worth it too, the trails were in amazing conditions flowing really quick! Pretty much all of the puddles have gone and the 'lake' after the last table top is clearing up too! Good to see a few others up there ridin too!
Got some pictures of me and jamie attempting synchronised jumping off patio which i will post some time too!

Unlucky mate, although I fail to see why you would try it on that? I'm guessing this wasn't your first adventure into x-ups? :D Good effort nonetheless! :) :cool:

OK,fish:D the news you have been waiting for we was up the Hill tonight and guess what I did the left hand hip onto the table,strangely easy and you know what that means dont you ;)
Great evening for ridin for sure, bit of rain kept the dust down but the trails were still nice n dry!! Good work on nailin the hip rick!!
i'll be up this afternoon to do some track preparations :D
any-one up there this evening, I need to see if I can ride a hardtail downhill before Sunday!

Not a very spectacular picture. The gap doesn't look very big or deep and the front edge of the landing table doesn't look scarey enough but we all know what it looks like in real life. At least it proves I did it. Just need to build the speed now to get all the way to the transition instead of landing flat.
Kenny B's up tonight after about 5.30 as long as no more forests catch fire.
Wednesday 23rd June after work. Kenny B up hill if weather OK. Maybe Baker as well if he's OK - well beat up after big crash at Moelfre....don't prod him, he might squeal.
