Thats cool must be really smooooth. I think the part where it is quite narrow what we built on sunday would be good if we made that part a little longer and then onto a little wooden see-saw and you roll down onto another northshore or just the ground.

can we try and be a bit more constructive with our comments, something along the lines of which bits you like the look of and where and how it would work at the hill :thumb: would be a good start :D

i most definately like the look of that jump into the huuuuge curved/bermed transition, i dont know whether that would be possible, perhaps on a smaller scale?? perhaps of dirt?

and i saw something in a net article about some place in canada:

its three nothshore drops in a row next to eachother all at different heights and thay all land on the same wooden transition, looks cool.

and the seesaw which we might be making, would it be possible for it to start on one level and finish on another like instead of just tipping right over leveling out or starting flat and then tipping down? (i dont know if this last paragraph about the seesaw made alot of sense, sorry its quite hard to describe!)

i did all that without saying helterskelter, YEY!

mmmmmmmmm i thought myself that changing levels would be good, ride on long platform tip down 3/4 foot at the end  more comments like jack's please :D

that jump into the berm does look pretty cool, so do the berm-wall rides....

We could build a fairly narrow north shore with about three seesaws in a row raised above the ground. It would be hard to construct but it would ace. It would be quite hard to ride across. It wold be good if it was about 3-4 foot above the ground. Then have a steap roll at the end or a drop.

It could go towards the end of that long strech near the end of the track before the last berm.

Also a big stepdown would be nice made out of timber or dirt.

I've just checked their website and they have come a long long loooooong way in this last year and attracted some major sponsorship along the way. the video is pretty cool too, go see.

The video is awesome. The Moen sports course looks really nice. I think Ham Hill could do with a really tight, slow, technical Shore section. That place is massive now sponsored by Sram and GT and Mongoose and it (h?)was some crazy features like a sideways moving see saw

*ADMIN..tut..tut;)

does anyone know of anything similar in the uk? i know there are indoor spots, but hav'nt heard of any with northshore or suchlike.

Sorry don't know any other places in the uk, it looks awsome and real tech in some places. we ough to get a wall ride out of the bowl like in the pics. sort of like jump out of the bowl with a hip then about 5foot away a massive wall? There looks to be some real sick moves going on in that place too.

Why dont we find a big shed some where and build our own. We brought North Shore to Lincolnshire, so do we bring Indoor NS to England!!!

Over my way at Manby there are 3 massive empty aircraft hangers just on the airfield available :D . Plenty of space plenty of parking....and convenient for me too!

Thinking of sheds, why dont we get a les gets style cabbin jump it would be awsome somewhere along the old DH maybe near little drop? I know you were talking about massive sheds but that idea has been in my head for ages and got lost. lol.

There was a cabin drop thingy on one of the 'drop in' series. Basically a fully stocked club hut type place, with the trail running over the top.

Baker

Yeah that sounds like the one in les gets according to Earthed 3. Do you think it would be a good thing for in willingham woods? It would also provide a bit of rainy day shelter.

No the one I mean was in Canada or the States (series 4 of drop in I think). The Les Gets cabin drop is this one - http://gallery.mtbr.com/data/mtbr/514/264878/Morzine068v2-med.jpg

that looks sooooo nice. If only we could get that on the hill. a bit of a space issue though i think.

it looks a lot better in the pics than it does up close the actual drop is no higher than fork top , the bit that makes it tricky is the super steep and sketchy landing on to loose stone into a tight burm. p.s these things always look better with super big mountains in the back ground. Roll on summer.

DAN HART
25-02-06, 21:44
i hear that mate, ive had enough of this rain. cant wait to get up to the hill in the summer evenings.
that drop does look quite big in the photos. maybe something of a similar shape, not necessarily a cabin, but with a steep downward take off may benefit the hill. would be a challenge.

jack

that does look like fun! the mountains do give it that extra little something. perhaps we should import some for the hill? :p

DAN HART

weve got a range rover and a big trailer if you know where we can buy some mountains from. Using it this sunday to transport some wood to the top of the hill. get some more building done for the summer!!!
