OK, so who's riding this saturday (5th) as i cant get sunday :\ :\ working at the racecourse, had too many days off :D
will probably be afternoon riding :thumb:

Went up today. Hopefully it will dry out a bit by the weekend:D :D
is every thing in its place etc

the weather talks of being really bad tomorrow, is the yellow rake up there, if so i reckon its a water proof and maintanence day for me. ooooh yeah and this reply indicates i have reserved the yellow rake tomorrow muhaha

Hey, is anyone trailbuilding this weekend. Couldn't make it the weekend just gone as i was getting married.
As for this sat i've told my sister's bf i'll do some welding on his mini pickup he's doing up.
Welding instead of trailbuilding and riding i hear u ask? Well, for my welding services, i've bagged myself lifts to and from the trails in his dads work truck. So i should be able to make it down more often, than just for a ten minute watch without my bike.
Should be the start of the new year (and roll on those longer nights)...

Went up today not riding though due to a dislocated finger. The jump onto the tech section is looking sweet!! I canny weight untill i am back riding again!

hey, what was it like up there today, was any building done???
the roll-in got chicken wired and we took some more timber to the top and slabs to the "patio gap". im not sure if anything else got done cos i left before everyone else.
the trails were really really wet. especially the twisted tree trail. it got better as the day went on but still very slippery.
Sounding good. Nice to know you are back riding again jack. Are you up tomorrow. Is it all rolling fast enough to claer the patio?

Sorry can't get up me and my dad have got to spend some time with my mum(she feels like a bike widower) have a good time if you go.
I know Fish and Ben wont be at the hill on Saturday but will anyone else. Hopefully it'll dry out abit over the week aswell.
i really fancy a trip to wheelbase on saturday so. i'll probably take the train to meadowhall because my mum and dad went to meadowhall a couple of weeks ago they wont take me to sheffield again.

whats the weather been like over the past few days in Rasen. I dont want to get to the hill and it be a total mud fest.

No secrecy, only had it a week today, an orange orange patriot 66 with 215mm eye to eye DHX 5.0 air rear shock (bigger shock length enabling 7" of travel) Hope pro 2 rear hub on sun mtx rim and a few funn components too, well chuffed with it :) , got an email today saying the ironhorse has arrived, i guess it was a week too late!

sounds sweet kenny, unfortunatly can't be persent this weekends as i have other biking plans; i.e. XC racing at Dalby,
snowed last night :( , not up today as i have an eye infection that has proved very painful this morning so i am having to wear my glasses and take eye drops, should be up sunday though :)
Yeah unlucky, i didn't think it was like you not to be riding. Me and my dad went though. His new muddy fox is awsome. I'l let him fill you in on all that. The trails were fine but quite slippery and a bit of water in the ditches on ttt. We both managed to both of the steep rollins and i just cleared the double after the start tower! The trails were also quite frozen in some places so very nice to ride. The shore was dry too and the landing for forktop is fine. Seen as though we have been up today it doesn't mean we won't be there tomorrow so we will see y'all tomorrow sometime.

Yes, FT2 no problem, like landing on a matress.
Bike seems fine apart from slipping gears when I pedal hard. I only spent a few minutes setting the SRAM X7's up, so they might need a bit more attention yet. Could also be the cable stretching in I suppose. I hope it's not that the cassette sprockets are worn and don't mesh properly with the new chain.
Right hand roll-in from start tower to double is cool, I've only managed to get as far as straddling the second hump between my wheels. Getting the gears right will help a bit.
there's a possabilty i can get for an hour or so late afternoon is anyone going to be about ?

The Baker boys might be up Saturday and Sunday this weekend (25th 26th March) even though it's Mothers Day on Sunday.Due to a cunning piece of persuasion from James. He's talked his mum into visiting her mum for a few days and promised to cook her a meal when she comes back. Brilliant, the lad's a genius.
Lol i suppose it is the teenage stuff kicking in again not that you will be able to remember then dad lol! Should be good but knackering!

altho i took my bike i didn't get chance to ride it as i spent the afternoon with Rob Woodall(Dan Carsons stepdad) and his huge teleporter moving the rest of the timber up the hill as well as some concrete pipes and a big steel tool store ;)
it looked a bit slippy but was drying out ok,however it started raining as i left :(

used same as logs they were kicking around the forest office yard for ages and would probably never be used,so i asked for them and they were donated to the project ;)

From time to time yes. A few of us are going there in April. I can't remember the date. It's on this forum somewhere under "half term" or " April half term" riding.
aaaah Louis, last summer you showed myself (on an orange drift) and my mate grayham (on a gemini) round the woods and up to peatys drop etc,

2) dont bring enough water with me and get thirsty
3) run outta food
4) left on my own (therefore not able to ride properly)
5) get bitten to death by midges (you may laugh but they will be out in force soo!!!)
Should be a good day then. I got bitten like 96 times(counting them took up time on the long journey home) in fort bill! Got my high rollers on now so should be nice n speedy!

wet and muddy.
but drying out;) i took a yard brush up and swept some of the standing water away ;)
i was going to say you need a bucket for the dip in TTT where the tracks cross. i rode down TTT on the way home last week and to make sure that i was completely soaked it got me for good measure.
forget the weather, the midges today were an absolute nightmare!!!!!
Shame! Hate the midges i do!
anyone going up tommorow coming in from tealby will see some bags of brick rubble/hardcore next to the permissive footpath,where previously i have stacked timber,using the barrow(the tyre is now pumped up hard ;) ) which is stashed near the patio jump (about 30ft to the left of it)this all needs moving to the patio jump,where you will see a slight modification on the divet before the jump to help it drain better :D i timed it, it only takes 10 mins for a round trip :devil: no pain no gain etc etc blah :devil:

Bet it was nice up there today! Did a 36 miler myself, and got really bad sunburn on my arms:( Who says cross country is safer than downhill/freeride!:D

Just wondering if anyone's planning on going up the hill on saturday 24th. I know some of you may be in Scotland riding up at the Fort, but i was just wondering instead of going up on my own and limiting myself to what i can ride because i'm the only one up there.
I think me and steve should be up for quite a while. steve riding and me filming/taking pics. damaged my foot last friday at the hill and cant ride. I may bring a bike though and have a freewheel around.
We wont be there sat cos we should be in bed all day seeing as though we get home at bout 1:30 !!!!! I think it definitley on for sunday though

:devil: Awesome days riding day today me n steve tearing the place up, Dan was up to but was hobblin round on an injured foot shame really because the weather was so nice and the riding was there to be had. I did FT a couple more times before going on to do the new drop, shallow graves and woodstock :devil: only did them a few times each so next time i'm up i'll be working to get them all dialled n smooth. But i love fork top now :devil:

Indeed it was, I think it may have partly been down to my rear tyre having starting to get a bit of a thin tread.

it was mint, had a great session with Jayden and his Dad it was sunny and warm all afternoon:D the tracks were a bit damp but this made for great drifting fun :devil:

Mmmmm lovely day today and almost dusty trails and only me and and a mate from doncaster riding,still it was peaceful and quiet :D everything is rolling really fast and the base of the wall ride is dry ;)

yeah il have a look tomorrow after work about 11ish.
Today was awesome. Me and tom worked on a line which has been discussed which links TTT to the new trail and cuts in very fast. Will get some pics up soon and a brief description. The trails were nice although slippy and really flowing! The new table isn't really rideable at the moment though because the wetness of the run in has got worse and is thick with dirt now.... it should hopefully be ok once it all dries out though:D

Really pleased with myself on Saturday I totally nailed FORK TOP after being terrified of it for the past 6 months, I even had night mares about it:eek: {ITS TRUE} I actually had nightmares about totally getting rag dolled on the landing but any way DID IT and did it again, and did it again and so on also riding both walls pretty good now and nail loco 1st time.

haha although saying that 26" tubes have been like gold dust this last week, so stock is low/very low/ almost non existant

haha scratch that might be going street riding with ben :p Sorry as soon as the rugby season ended my gcses started so i've had no free weekend since last october :( lol. The rugby commitment payed off though because i got the trophy for supporters player of the year :devil: and i even saw ben at a match although he seemed happier eating free food after the match lol

we cant make it next weekend because we have 10 days in wales on a riding/adventure sports holiday in Snowdonia National Park and then straight down to Caersws to meet up with the guys on the 12th/13th. We will be stopping about 5 miles from Coed-y-Brenin
have a good time mate,we did the karrimore trail last sunday at coed y brenin,well worth having a look at,downhills are all new so they are really flowy and fast.:thumb:
