View Full Version : Descend Hamsterly
As some may know Saturday was the day some of us got to experience the delights of Hamsterly, and wasnt it just :D i dont think any pictures you see of this place on the internet do it justice, the course wasnt/couldnt be described as technical but more of a 'the faster the better' kinda thing. Along with the DH courses the 4X was i think to everyones taste , and with it being on quite a downhill always fun to blast down, just try not to get swept away by gale force winds on the start ramp :\
a big shout out goes to the Sheffield crew for inviting us and to Rich@disfunktional dirt get well soon :thumb: :D
thanks for the shout ben
On the x-ray my right wrist looks like crazy paving, but the doc said the good thing is the bone fragments havent seperated much which will aid in faster healing.
i ended up back in casualty at about 10pm with chest pains, turns out i hit that pretty damn hard too but nothing broken, just a bit hard to breathe.
But despite my fucknut attitude towards that double, hamsterley is awesome!
i will be back there without a doubt next year, but i'll have more respect for that double next time

Riding lessons off these guys are great. I wouldnt be where i am now if it wasn't for them. You'll be up and going in no time.

Man, just wanna say what an awesome time i had up at Hamsterley. The conditions were fairly rare to say the least, but it was good to ride in, something very different.
A big thanks has to go to Fish for inviting me. And an even bigger one to Fragy for taking me there and back. Driving conditions were not great. I think the worst was the last 250m up the road to my house (sorry again Fraser).
But on the whole it was a great day and i really enjoyed it...
