View Full Version : Best LBS
What are the best LBS around the area (grimsby, Scunthorpe). I want to apply for work experience at some bike shops and was wondering which shops would be the best to apply to. I've applied to halfords bike hut purely because there a large establishment which is likely to have the insurance needed and i know they take people for work experience.

Giving Fragy a PM wouldn't be a bad idea, he knows a few good bike shops...
ps if ur considering going to Halfords, i'd recommened the one in Skeg, u'll have more fun there...
Thats a bit hard i live near brigg and it would be quite an expensive commute considering we have to fund our transport
I no it a bit far but rasen bikes
Isn't rasen bikes closed wednesday's because you have to work nine days and my teachers said it's not advisable. Plus i can get the bus or train to grimsby relatively easily but not market rasen.

elsfal or etteridge cycles, maybe cooks
What about Sherwood bikes in Brigg. I don't know the people that well other than having been a customer. But their mechanic Steve rides a wellard DH bike - Club Roost I think. Their on Bridge street I think.
Yeh i'm going to aply but i also think there some rule about insurance. If the business has 5 employees its likely to have the right insurance. That why i'm looking to go to a large company. There's so many little rules and stuff, its quite annoying to find a place to go to.
Elsfal or cooks. Although cooks have recently emplyed someone new i think. MAYBE.
how about 2-ten in caistor, the guy there is pretty cool and i know hes gladly taken on work experience students before. it is more bmx BUT......
when one of my mates did his work experience there they went on a couple of "business trips" to skateparks lol.
Yeh i would gladly go there because i can get there by my school bus and i kinda knew who owned it. But its closed down
I was suppose to ring cooks on saturday but i forgot. Oooops. Elsfal said they would take people, i've just got to write them a letter now and the best one was ringing up what i thought was ettridge cycles but it was an old lady and i was asking her "Is this ettridge cycles?" Has anyone got the the ettridge cycles number? i don't want to ring the old lady again.
