Simba hold a couple of friendly(ish) XC races at Dalby forest. Just thought that some people might want to enter. Application form on the link along with more details if needed.

hey good effort will, what was your category and final position ?
Erm Youths and 15th out of 25 and a time of 47.20. The track was about 7miles long.
well done mate, you must have well pleased  what was the course like? any gnar?
Yeah i was lol, the course really slippy with the compacted snow;) , the worse parts were the DH because everyone was close to each other so if one person fell he would take out about 3 others:confused: , going back up was quite bad aswell as there was no grip. Trying to find quicker lines round things was quite hard too because the snow was so thick it slowed you down too much:rolleyes: so some parts were knackering, but over all it was fun and after the race i spent a bit of time in the cycle skills area across the road, which was killer aswell!!:filthy:
Nice one dude. Did you put down as RATZ on your entry form or were you just ridin for the fun of it? You did well good nice one!!!
Na i was riding individual there is no place to write RATZ, if there was i would put it!!
Sweet we maybe ought to get some kind of xc race thing going as we have a DH?
it's obvious that there are clubs there so we should go along and take the piss, because they are all in lycra's! but a XC team sounds like a good idea. Anyone interested.
The next race is on Sunday the 9th April.
Crap race for me this time, i lost 50%ish braking proformace, and my rear mech f**ked on the 2nd lap so i was nackered only having 2 or 3 gears, oh and i nearly died of Cramp when the air temperature droped suddenly and started to snow :(
Thats what XC is all about, PAIN! munch an energy bar!!! hopefully be able to join you at the next one!
you should be able to because the next one's next year, they only run 2 each year because of funding i think
i meant the next one in general, im sure we can find some other xc races to enter. i know that sherwood pines run some, or used to at least. i'd quite like to set up one at hamilton aswell once we have the XC circuit up and running!
You feeling orite jack ??? Next you'll be loving lycra
OH BUT I DO.............. pink and yellow and green. seriously though, its a good way of getting fit, something im in need of at the moment.

Funding, FC regulation and Simba motivation to do it

There are other races around the country this year, if you are up to it!

theyre all rather long distance. and all seem to be quite a way away, cept the one at sherwood............. hmmmm, i dunno if the NPS might be a wee bit too competetive for a beginner though! spose i we can give some a go! it'll be fun!
