just copied this from a forum in scotland not sure if the FC are going to do the same in England but if they do it will almost certainly double the cost of racing.
Anyone know if this is the case?

Forestry Commission (in Scotland anyway) have put severe restrictions on uplifts.
All vehicles will have to have a seat per rider, and seat belts, and bikes will have to be transported on a trailer or seperate vehicle. As I understand, this is because their lawyers have decided that the forest roads are part of the public highway, and the laws governing the public highway have to be followed.

they've been doing that at innerleithen for ages i think. it is possible (probably likely) that if the FC has imposed this in scotland, then it will soon be the same here. however, this would only be true for uplifts that actually are on FC ground. so wouldnt apply, i suppose, to the likes of caersws for example.

you could always ride up the hill (what has happened to jack, hes gone all XC and crazy!)
