View Full Version : tuesday 18th wharncliffe?
alrite guys, plans been hatching on this one for a while now. is it happening? wont be around this weekend to organize plans, but if we get it sorted to maybe meet on the M1 and go from there?
so far it looks like me, ben, the baker mob and dan, possibly his bro in law too.
should be a good day out. ben, you up for delamere on the monday if you can get tuesday morning off work?
let me know and we can confirm arrangements!
cheers Jay
I would like to come along, but i cant get a lift, :(
Iv got to go to school for a crappy revision day :(, but i know what i would rather like to do!!
Monday looking promising, Dan Carson said he can do a couple of rounds its just the rest but the amount of people i am helping off this week Dalamere looks like its going ahead (new MBR has an article on its new mtb area and newly made/making dh track)
We are still definitley up for it. I thought we were meeting in Outibridge though? Just tell us the plans and we'll work with them. Will you be going to the M1 via Bawtery because if you were that woulb be ideal because we could meet you there?
well if bens comin up on monday for delamere we'll be coming south on the m1 from huddersfield. will have a peek on a map over the weekend and let you know.
J
Did the route on Auto-route and we are coming from the complete opposite direction to yu and you go no where near bawtery so i think that we will meet you in outibridge, do we know what road in Outibridge we need to be on because i can make a route and meet you at the exact place!
the pub just down the road from the playing field just across from the bridge which brings you up to the corner shop opposite the B&B with the advertisement board outside..... aint got a clue :p
its a small enough place dont worry about it we will find ya
Will it be at some factories then? They should be easy enough to find?
there is a tiny industrial estate on the road that you take the short cut down, look out for a pub called the peacock/pheasent or summin like that :p
Peacock should be easy to remember, used to be one of my dad's regulars ages ago.
The misses is at work any my little girls at my sisters so i can deffinately make it on tues. Trying to persuade A mate to come with me but not looking promising so itll prob just be me. What sort of time are we looking at getting there?
Nice one. What time will we be getting there? About 10:30ish maybe?
due to a change in work contracts  its looking doable for me too :D
sounds like a good turn out! any one got a multi map link to where they fancy meeting>?
glad yo hear you might be able to play out fish!
I'm going to try and reschedule some work away from the Tuesday afternoon in-order that I can meet you up there. Failling that does anyone fancy a light evening sess up at Endor some 12 miles away if ya have the energy left.
ben
Got this off multimap but can't really see anywhere good to meet, anyone got any ideas using this? http://uk2.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?client=public&X=432500&Y=392500&width=500&height=300&gride=430757.572935544&gridn=393221.523338554&srec=0&coordsys=gb&db=freegaz&addr1=&addr2=&addr3=&pc=&advanced=&local=&localinfosel=&kw=&inmap=&table=&ovtype=&keepicon=true&zm=0&scale=50000&upleft.x=2&upleft.y=4 Are we going any where the station Ben because we could meet on that Station Lane somewhere if we are? The train track crosses on Oughtibridge lane though s i'm getting mixed up now because ben said something about crossing a railway track?

wow thats a big un.
this is zoomed in 2x from bakers link.
you see river view road? and a little lane next to it (intermet factory), the pub is just to the left of river view road, you can park anywhere along station road (nr the pub).
You then head to the bottom of river view road and cross the railway there (be careful) walk up the steep path on the other side of the tracks, turn left, then where the path meets the fire road is the bottom of the 1st and imho worst dh run. keep going left and you cross the bottom of all the other courses. ;)
hope this helps.
ps tried getting the day off, but cant :(
Thanks for that. I couldn't quite get multimap lol. Should be a good day shame you can't get there sime!
