i must confess wanted a brooklyn to flatter my bike skills :filthy:, but alas the're too much money, however the clifcat comes in sumwhat cheaper :thumb: that'll certainly make me look good at Caersws/inners,i'm not sure how it would ride at Hamhill,
i wouldn't want to break any trail features with it

the thought of riding something like this with an engine in and god forbid a "Harley" on the grounds that you'd just crash when a bend came up :D but an electric motor that's a different thing  cruise down the pub for 8 pints anyone, the ride back home would be a laugh :fu: oh and still keep ya liscence :D

HaHaHa, i think there is a law about if you have a driving licence, and your drunk on a push bike, you can still get points/fined. I have never heard of anyone getting "done" this way, but it something a copper told me one night riding home under the influence of Stella Artois..

here's some more info, mike corbett(clifcat uk) emailed "Bill" at Clifcat(USA) with some of my questions, heres what he has to say

hey there mike,
well, if i were to make a battle-axe or 2 or 3.....it will be with the new
water jet cut parts not the old "hand-cut" ones. i would have new plates cut
for the swingarm and dropouts and the dog bones will be similar to
solution's. so the swingarm would in fact be made of alu but more like a
wishbones style moto-cross style. and the shock will be in the front yoke of
the swingarm connected to the linkage underneath. the frame will be 1.5
headtube for strength and it will look damn good. the bb will be 100mm with
the cranks and a 25 to 30t profile imperial chainring along with the same
upper right jackshaft ring...the upper left will be smaller profile trials
ring gear. the pivot bearings are the same as the solution and the mx. there
is a large, thick machined aluminum tube welded in the triangle and 2 needle
bearing cage assemblies are pressed into the tube recessed in a little and
then a hardened steel bushing is slid into the needle bearings
centered..then a stainless dust cap hat is placed on either side with an
o-ring seal. then the swingarm is slid on and the pivot bolt is fastened in.
the complete pivot assembly was co-designed by myself and Craig at Avalanche
and is machined by Eric at Avalanche. the pivot design is superior to any
other pivot design being used today. the suggested hub of choice is a
profile 160mm 10mm bolt on hub with the cnc machined floating brake and
adjustable floater rod.
under 50 pounds is a definate and a olive green triangle with black
stickers, black swingarm, black linkage and shock, chrome cranks and black
ano chainring and drive chainring...polished dogbones and polished trials
gear and black hub and black floater with black 888 will look so fucking
pimp!!!.............Bill

no doutb in my mind that it will look errrm kin'pimp, hopefully i will get some more recent pics later today :D

champs are better forks imho, the bigfoot is the champ with longer sliders, making them more flexible and weaker i think.
I will be going for a pair of champs sometime soon.

Ben
16-03-05, 16:57
yeah the champs do look more realistic!

Meep

aaahh profile cranks, awsome, at the bike show last year profiles stand consisted of a centre table shaped as a giant 7ft wide chainring with all their cranks bolted onto it , if you were getting profiles i would spend a bit extra and get the profile mags mmmmmmmmm three piece profile are the ultimate PIMP 3 piece crank, imho :thumb: :fu: :fu: :D i got some of the 03 chieftain dmr cranks on my rythm that have seen better days, if you see what i am getting at :afro: ;)

just to bring this upto date, i haven't ruled out buying a holeshot, but as i couldn't find enough info/reviews,i've decided to wait and have got a stab primo for this year at least :D .
there will be some clifcat bikes being tested by the uk magazines soon....apparently,looking foreword to that. :D
