for those of you who were interested in this frame i went in today and it was sold!!! who too??

Yep saw it, loved it and asked price.... £350 Brand New:eek: !! bought it straight away!! unfortunatly my HT is back home in halifax so it will be a few weeks before the thing is up and running but still!! rear shock looks like it a pile of poo tho but for £350 you can't really complain!!

And i only went in for a new set of gloves!! :p

Nice one! I thought you'd like it! Two da bomb bikes on the hill now when they were little known before! £350 is a definite steal! What shock is on it? Is it the coil one?

That frame will be well good up the hill!

was it such a low price because theyd had it for ages? or is it always that price? i love it! and i can afford that a whole lot more easily than the preston!

fraid it just because it last one, they normally £695 apparently!! comes with some cheapo coil but it not terrible, it got an air chamber on it and rebound/ compesion damping too so it aint bad!! just aint anything worth shouting about!

The Da bomb website say's it has a Manitou Metal R coil, i don't know much about shocks because i've never ridden used or had a full sus but it can't be a terrible shock

i know what u mean, depressing just sat watching a frame, i can see two from where im sat right now, one half built, one half unbuilt.

Is the shock a shockworks cos mine is? It does look quite a nifty little thing! I spent ages(sleepless nights)looking at my frame when it wasn't built!

thats the 06 model mines an 05 one in red/black with slightly different rocker linkage and a shock works coil!! will get a Romic double fitted in the end i think (they ment to be really good) but it will do for the time being!!

Yeah my shock works shock is mint! Really sucks up the hucks!

its a good shock, but if you really wanna upgrae the shock get a fov vanilla RC off ebay for like £50, im running one on my muddyfox and there brilliant. its a proper 4x shock aswell, to match the frame, its practically the 2002 fox DHX.5 equivilent

i just worried about companies that don't even have a web site!! was thinking vanilla or a Swinger air!! be more expensive but would like to try an air shock!!

What can i say, i rate my dhx air a lot and would recomend it, was a bit sceptical when i first got it but once youve got used to its charactoristics its a good shock

unfortunatly i limited to only a few shocks!! the eye to eye length is just 165mm and as such means i am limited to very few shocks!! only ones i can find to fit are vanillas, romic twin tubes, and swinger airs!! all others are xc ones but a RP3 might be ok! decisions decisions!! i get to build it up this weekend tho so will see how this shock goes and if its a pile of poo or not!!!

hmm why dont you contact BETD, they probabaly have plates that will allow you to have a longer shock?
