sweet i done abit of riding in lincoln me self!! struggled to find much good tho!!
totally wicked sesh  eventually
i've eyed up that wall drop for years,it was great to break down such a big barrier in my mind  and then to really nail the big stair gap was just ace  i'm up for that again ASAP
Where abouts is this?! Sounds like i may have to jump on a train some time and gige some of the stuff a whack(although if it has been in your mind for ages fish i dunno?lol)
Cracking evenings riding. The stair gaps were just getting better every time as we were all getting more confidence and going further.
Do like the wall drops aswell although it was pretty high and the ankles took a pounding. There can be so many sweet lines.
Will have to try and get up there one night next week again!
I'm up for an urban assualt sometime. The only street in my village is a wall drop 3ft flat to flat which i've done quite a few times now ( however easier said then done because it's uber slow speed)
yeah the same wall i have a million shin digs from, I wouldnt mind having a look at some urban stuff
im guessin the wall drop and stair gaps in question are in the arboretum??
man i love that place, lincoln urban freeride park as it should be called. the stairs are incredibe! i've done the wall drop a few times but like dan says.... its an ankle KILLA. although i seem to remember theres a bit of tranny to be had at the far end (that is if your at the lil cafe place) its about 6ft away from the base of the wall so you need to hit it at some fair speed.
something i've wanted to do for years in there is make a kicker and put it infront of that huge grass bank and keep moving it back.......... that'd be cool!
Anyone seen footage of that city (I think its Lisbon) that has an urban downhill race? Lincoln would be great for that if you built a few jumps etc down steep hill (and closed it to the public obviously).
----here you go! http://www.asilvertouch.com/features.php?feature_id=54
i've been thinking that for years! or move it further over so it comes down through the arboretum :filthy:
Yeah my dad took his bike top to bottom once and he said it was really good fun even when he was only on the roads! With a bunch of drops and the dirt jump finish near HMV it'd be awesome!
or maybe a slopestyle kind of event, that could be great. im not sure how you could persuede the city council into doing it though. unless of course we didnt ask, and arranged to do it in secret at about ooooo, 4-5ish in the morning lol. i know a bunch of guys who longboard and mountainboard spring hill like that.
It could be a good gig! I recon there may be a way round the council cos it would bring people and there are loads of tourist types in lincoln and people from the uni that would probably be willing to pay a small fee to watch nuttas flying through the city! It might even bring pros if it is well enough advertised?! It will be great fun too!

Just imagine cost of insurance!!
yeah i suppose but that might be able to be part of entry fee?
Just imagine cost of insurance!!
Insurance shmorance we dont need insurance we ride for the hell of it! LOL :p
I don't know if you'd be saying that when you are layed on the floor fasing the sky on solid concrete! Very harsh and i think insurance is a must in slope style lol
next time you go gizzus a bell! i saw you lot walkin thru there on friday and you were amazin! fish has my number
i'll be taking the sanchez again as opposed to the orange, if we are doing the street thing again it'll be posted on this thread ;)
I think me n mikey(fwogddy) are thinking of going on saturday next week! Talking about going to the arboretum and a skate park he knows too! Who else is up for it? Is this date still good for you mike?
Is that in Lincoln Baker?
Yeah on monks road some where lol. Good stairs and all i think!
Its quite a nice run at the top end of town on an evening. Park at the Cathedral, Race down the 8 flights at greestone steps, a Play on the grounds and stairs at the Gallery (expect a bit of abuse from pissheads), over the road to the college, then across to the Arboretum to do wall drops ranging from 3 to about 8 foot, stair gaps and winding paths and banks. A good 3 hours riding at least with that lot.
The Arbo is half way down monks road on the left if your coming from town. Cant miss it.
Was thinking of going again one evening next week???
i think you really need to chose your time very carefully for any kind of street riding, the Arbo will be packed on a sat this time of year as will the usher gallery, after 6 in the evening things seem to go nice and quiet ;) and don't forget you can get an on the spot fine for that kinda thing
AH well that might complecate things then! Might have to rearange mike!

aslong as its good weather

ittl be a laff
When myself, Fish, Ben and Jay went there at 4:30 last friday, it was just too busy to ride. we went back at 6:30 and it was ok. still a few people and we got chased by a dog. some coppers came in just as we were leaving aswell. Its gonna be heaving on a saturday daytime. If familys complain about the bikes, police or those park rangers on motorbikes (who i have seen ride through) will be straight down to ticket you.
Its deffinately an evening riding spot.
Ok it think its off then! We should try to get there some time in the week! Tell us a date 'n' time 'n' we'll try to be there.
