View Full Version : funding alert
Mrs Fish has found a grant we could qualify for :D up to £1000,its a save the children sponsored fund and is aimed at developing stuff for teenagers to improve health and provide some life experience in the planning and building etc etc
a £1000 could go a long way in developing our 4x plan etc what do you think?
if you're 18 or under please sign off your comments with your name and age,we need your comments as part of the application ;) and if you could say why the club is good for you as young person would be even better ;)
.............oh and the closing date for the application is this friday

lol... youre going to have youre work cut out for that one;)
Ofcourse its a good idea and definately worth trying to get.. and yes the dual track would be the perfect place for that money. Also the dual track would probably apeal to more youngsters and encourage them to get on the bike and enjoy an active outdoor lifestyle, reaping all the benefits that are asociated with it.
:)
This sounds like a great idea! The club has given me something to do on my weekends for the past 2years and it has never let me down! It has helped me one heck of a lot in losing weight and it has given me lots more confidence in myself! A grant like this would be yet another great input to the club and as True saxon said if it goes into the dual/4x track this will be a great thing to have in the woods for younger generations and also for those who are looking into getting into the sport whether they are young or not!!!

EXACTLY :D
Hamilton hill has really got me into mountain biking. I've been riding there for about a year now and it has got me hooked with the sport. It is challenging and has pushed me, i've met so many new people and has boosted my confidence no end. It gives me something to do most weekends and it provides something new compared to the rest lincolnshire which is flat. The funds will only push the boundaries of the hill further for the future.

hamilton hill has been good for me because it has helped develop my skills as a rider aswell as helping me to make some pretty good mates. im down there pretty much every weekend and theres always something constructive to do. a new 4X track could also be pretty handy, as the only other similer thing around lincoln is at the westwick gardens skatepark where your more likely to be smacked then ride your bike

Hamilton Hill is a great place, i have met some cool people there and it has improved my fitness immensely as before I started riding there I didnt have much stanina etc and now I do! My riding skill has been improved too and a new 4X track would help me improve my skills to another level. All the folks at Hamilton Hill are supportive to the younger/ less experienced riders within the club!

I hope we get it!! It will be awsome if we can get the 4X track!
Hamilton hill is a great place for younger people because it is somewhere to improve fitness, make some great mates, enjoy riding, improv your MTB skills and chat to poeple who love the sport as much as you do. The hill has really given me something to do at weekends and i'm sure it is the same for others. i'm sure this grant will really improve the facilities at the park.

Hamilton Hill is really important to kids like us. It keeps us off the streets at weekends and stops us from getting into trouble. The hill is a great place to meet new people who have the same interest as you and to practise and enjoy riding. Building the 4X track will give us the chance to compete with our friends and have fun whilst building stamina and challenging our ability to multi-task ( speed, co-ordination and skills)
Sorry, i forgot this. My name is Charlotte Brown and i'm 13.
right then thats the online application sent off :D i must say Mrs Fish & i were very impressed with the youth contribution which really strengthens our cause, so a big thanks to you all for responding so quickly and a big thanks to True Saxon for a bit of behind the scenes work on the costings ;)

Great! It doesn't take long for them to decide does it, not long really till december! I'll look forward to it!
