Right, got a few possibilities for a trip out to france ridin next summer but we are stuck about what to do!

First plan was to go on a package holiday with my mum to les gets on all inclusive and me and my dad have a few days riding and find things to interest my mum the other days. But i wished to take my bike which caused complications i.e. extra price's and dodgy T&C's see mail section in newest Dirt ;)

So........................

Second thoughs were me and my dad book a chalet and for a few guys from here, and we all go on a road trip out!!! The next thing is i can't find no prices to book a complete chalet they are all per person! Does anyone know anywhere that do full chalet rentals???

Then i remembered Fragyhad his chalets out there and there sounded to be a good bit of riding to be had there!!! Could i have some Information about this please fragy???

So be sensible of course, who would be up for a wee ratz road trip to FRANCE!!!???

Just to get an idea of the numbers...... preferably no under 16's at the moment as alot of parental input would be needed and it would put alot of pressure on the adults who would be going having other people's children in their responsibility!

Cheers

May be a possibility but stick to the older riders for now, it is early but it may take a good bit of planning!!!

Hell yes!!!

As long as it doesn't clash with the 2 weeks i'm doing in Morzine already;) Although, i'd rather go with a Ratz group of riders

Me and ben looked into biking in les gets last summer, hmm or was it 2 summers ago ?* scratches head*

I might still have millions of booklets about it, though i think they may be outdated ?

hi baker, i'm in london at the moment but will be home at the weekend, if you are thinking of france for a trip you would be more than welcome to take my place for a reduced club members fee no problem there. Just a few things to remember tho, its about a 9 hr drive from Calais or about 15 mins longer from Z4ebrugge which you can get to from hull but does cost more on the ferry, flights are cheap and for next summer can be booked from january and were about £45 return + £15 e.w for bikes. Morzine and Les gets are great i've been 3 times but is more for full on downhill courses but les deux alp is faster and more for freeriding although they do the mountain of hell at the end of july which is a course which takes the pro's about 50 mins to descend :O)
i am going out to do that next year with 2 others up to now so maybe that could be a road trip i know of another studio for rent in the resort . i will try to give you some more info when i get home and will also post more links when i get back to my own pc although if you do a search for "janas rider" on google video he has lots of footage from this year which shows alot of the runs we were doing. Hope this helps

Thanks alot Fragy!!!

Still considering all the different possibilities at the moment but, now it is looking like this year me and my mum n dad are going out there on a package holiday with Chrystal active and taking the lightest of the 2 bikes and spending a few days on the DH tracks and other days the "family" tracks, just to scope the place out and see what there is to enjoy there!

And probably the year after going on a road trip out with a few RATZ riders, and leavin my mum:rolleyes: at home!!

So if you could still give me a bit of info on your places out there fragy it would come in handy some time soon!!!

Cheers

dude i live out in the alps and dont be too fooled about getting skanked on excess baggage at the airport, its just the luck of the draw, last time i flew back to the uk (with cheesyjet)i had a bike box containing my dh bike, all my armour n 2 helmets,a bmx and 2 lots of snowboarding gear and 2 boards and it cost me nothing in excess baggage just the standard 15 quid cost, like i said its the luck of the draw..les gets is a good resort to visit,if you get a passportes du soleil lift pass you can ride les gets, morzine ,chatel etc,id defo reccomend chatel for riding, its mint!! if you want to ride somewhere less commercial and busy try 2 alpes, dhuez,la plagne or tignes, all cater for riders in a big way, have a good un mate......................
