A bunch of Dis-Dirt lads did flow show in the pitch black at our 2005 October BBQ. It was amazing to watch. The bottle needed to drop off Fork Top and Woodstock into an inky black abyss must be amazing. I reckon the adrenelin kick would nearly blow my head off.
Somewhere on the forum, there's a load of instructions a nd pictures from Simon about making your own powerful lights for a fraction of the price of commercial ones. I keep meaning to get round to having a go.

Me and ben did a bit at the last BBQ, although KFC was the only thing lite up for the photos, it was still awsome doing that. I would be up for some night riding.

nopes ;)
i ordered the batteries and charger from the states, this was around the same time the country was put on high security alert. my guess is customs got it as a suspicious package, funny i didnt get a letter from them tho.

Any way, i kinda explain what to do about batteries on your GCSE electronics thread, as always the charger is the most expensive, but buy the right one and you wont need another for anything else;)

10 x 1.2v nimh batteries - 12v ;) +1 x 1.2 = over volted slightly giving brighter more powerful light with a slightly longer burn time... but you loose around 25% of the bulb life.. small cost at a few quid a bulb ;)

I have all the stuff needed to make a powerpack now, maybe one day.. but its easy anyway ;)
