Frequently Asked Questions
Can anyone just turn up and ride?
No, the site operates a strict members/invite only policy, aswell as age and supervision restrictions. Invited guests who intend to visit the site again will be required to join the Rasen Area Trailblazerz MTB Club.
How can I become a member of the Rasen Area Trailblazerz?
That's quite easy, just download our membership application form >>HERE<<, fill it in and return it to us.
Are there any age restrictions?
Yes, to safeguard other park users we do not accept club membership from any persons under 12 years of age.
Those under the age of 16 are not permitted to ride in the park unless under adult supervision.
Do I need to wear a helmet and gloves?
Yes, helmets and gloves are mandatory. A full face helmet is recommended.
We also advise users to wear full finger gloves, knee/shin and elbow/arm protection.
I satisfy all the above requirements, can I ride now?
If you are alone and there is nobody else in the park, you must wait until another person arrives.
The "Buddy System". This is for your own safety. You must also sign yourself in prior to riding.
What do I do if I find something is damaged or unsafe?
Report the matter to one of the club staff.
What should I do if I have an accident?
Again this should be reported to one of the club staff.
I am new to mountain biking, are your trails suitable for me?
No, due to the challenging nature of our trails basic offroad riding experience is necessary.
Are your trails graded?
Yes, all our trails are graded as black.
I have ridden offroad on a few occasions is that enough?
As long as you know how your bike will handle off road then yes.
The trails within the park are designed to promote rider development and progression.
Is the park finished yet?
No, this is early days. We have been constructing the trails since december 2005.
There is a lot more to come.
Who builds the trails and north shore features?
Members of the Rasen Area Trailblazerz Mtb Club have built all the features within the park,
supervised by qualified construction personel and civil engineers.
Where do the materials come from?
Club members have provided some of the materials and we have a very good relationship with several local companies who have pledged their support.
We have also been awarded a grant by sport relief.
All proceeds from club membership fees and sales of our merchandise go back into the clubs trail fund.
We are always looking for new >>sponsors and donators<<.
How can I help?
By simply joining our club, you have helped.
You may wish to make a donation to our funds, this can be done by paypal, sending us a cheque, or in person to one of the clubs staff.
A donation doesn't have to me financial, it could be by way of materials or tools.

Can I turn up and build something or modify anything?
No. All construction work has to be undertaken by club members (for insurance reasons) and on pre specified construction days.
No one is permitted to allter or modify the courses or features.
